Thursday 18th June

Spellings: Common Exception Words. Use your spelling words to fill in the missing gaps.

Suffix: I have a suffix board game for you to play. The rules are below and the board is uploaded at the bottom of the page as a PDF.

Maths: I saw some very impressive symmetrical shape patterns created yesterday. Here are some examples. See if you can work out where the line (lines) of symmetry are?

To warm up your symmetrical brains try playing this game -http://www.sheppardsoftware.com/mathgames/geometry/shapeshoot/SymmetryLinesShapesShoot.htm

I have given you some maths challenges to test your symmetrical knowledge. They become slightly more difficult. See which ones you would like to complete.

How many different words can you find only using the symmetrical letters?

These next problems may need a little more thought......

English: Each week during one of our English sessions I would like you to practise your SPAG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) skills. Have a look at the three different levels and select the correct challenge for you. If you want a PDF of the questions then click on the question mat so you can print it off, if you wish.
