English: LO: To use proofreading skills.

Proofreading is very important when it comes to writing anything. 'Proofreading' means checking through your work and looking for any mistakes or any areas for improvement. Most authors, even famous ones, check and rewrite their stories many times before they're happy for someone else to read them.

Proofreeding work is importent because if you dont check that you're sentences flow nicely and make sense it cud be hard four your reader to understand. you must always check facs and double chek spelling, grammar and punktuashun.

oops.. I should proof read that now...

Proofreading your work is incredibly important. If you don't check that your sentences flow nicely and make sense it could be hard for the reader to understand. You must always check facts and double check spelling, grammar and punctuation.

ahh.. that's better.

Click this link to access the BBC Bitesize website to learn more about proofreading. You'll get the chance to practice this skill too.

Spellings: Mrs. Gregory & Mrs. Postlethwaite's group

It turns out I gave you this week's spellings last week! You can either have another week to learn your spellings or you can ask a member of your family to test you on them today and have a week off learning spellings. The choice is yours!

Maths:

Miss Hughes’ group – L.O. To reason and problem solve with the 3 times table

After practising your 3 times table yesterday, it’s time to use your skills to answer reasoning and problem solving question. You can watch the video again if you need to.

I have attached Bronze, Silver and Gold activities for today. Pick the one you feel most confident with and, if you complete this, maybe challenge yourself with the next level up.

Mrs. Gregory & Mrs. Postlethwaite’s group – L.O. To reason and problem solve with finding the perimeter of rectilinear shapes

This is your last session on perimeter and you will need to think carefully when answering the reasoning and problem solving questions. Please explain your reasoning clearly when asked to, please do not write just yes or no!

I have attached Bronze, Silver and Gold fluency activities for today. Pick the one you feel most confident with and, if you complete this, maybe challenge yourself with the next level up.

Computing: L.O. To create a simple animation using a given image and the onion skin concept!

If you’ve read your learning object you might be wondering what on earth the onion skin concept is? Well today you are going to find out and use this to help make your animations even better! As there is more to explain today, I have attached a sheet to help you. As always, have fun and if it goes wrong, just start again :)

Please remember you can share any of your work with me (je38).
