At Abberley Parochial Primary School our school grounds offer us a wonderful environment in which to explore the world and we have a great variety of animals living right here from newts to a range of woodland birds and mini-beasts. Our curriculum is designed to encourage our children to explore, be curious and think scientifically. Our skills progression in science follows our seven key learning attributes: Knowledge covers the content our children are taught and then we seek for children to develop skills associated with collaboration, perseverance, curiosity, comprehension, reasoning and creativity.
We believe that science is a practical subject, where investigation and exploration are at the core. Where possible we seek for children to make discoveries themselves, ask questions and work independently and with their peers.
