English: To create a diary entry

At the bottom of this page, you will find the link for today's English task, along with the instructions. You will also find a checklist document which is there to help you make sure to include everything you need for a successful diary entry. I'm looking forward to reading them already :-)

Miss Hughes’ group – L.O. To convert pounds and pence

This week you are going to be focussing on money. Today you will need to be able to convert between pounds and pence using the fact that £1 is 100 pence. A place value grid will be useful to show this. You will also need to use your number bonds to 100. Watch the video below and then do the attached worksheet.

Now that you have a good understanding of decimals, you are going to develop your understanding of pounds and pence. You will be using the decimal notation for money. Your place value grid might be handy to help show you how to change from writing in pence to writing in pound using the pound sign (£). Watch the video below and then do the attached worksheet.
