Handwriting

 

Let's start off with some pencil control sheets to warm up.  These are attached below.  Remember to make sure you are holding your pencil correctly.  Check out the poster attached below showing the correct grip if you are unsure.

This week we would like you to focus on your curly caterpillar letters.  Some letter formation sheets are attached below.  Remember to use a nice sharp pencil and take your time.  Once you think you have mastered tracing over the letters have a go at writing them independently.  Parents - as we teach cursive handwriting in school all letters start with a lead in on the line.  I have also attached the letter formation rhymes we use in school to enable you to aid your child.
