Art

Pupils at our school relish the opportunity to explore a wide range of artists and styles. They love being creative and we recognise that art is about confidence to express yourself. Elements of our curriculum are taught discretely through our art curriculum. However, we also integrate artistic themes and opportunities throughout all aspects of our curriculum and school life, such as painting a historical tapestry or drawing in our wildlife area. Furthermore, our pupils are fully involved in projects in school through our values groups, such as when our CREW group created and painted our school vision display, our pupils all participated in the design of our values logos or our reading leaders designing the layout of our library furnishings and the creation of our themes through paintings on the library walls. We also incorporate a number of creative competitions throughout the year.  All of these make art a valued and important part of the culture of our school.
