We want all pupils to leave Abberley as well rounded individuals, with attitudes and skills required to succeed in life and feel empowered to be positive agents of change within our community and in the wider world.  Pupils will be taught through a balanced and broad curriculum, enhanced further through our enrichment programme which provides opportunities to develop and demonstrate spiritual capacities.

Each of our subjects is carefully mapped so that sequences of learning are coherent and progressive, allowing for pupils to develop a strong understanding and retain their learning. Vocabulary is at the core of the substantive knowledge our pupils learn. This is taught discretely and revisited throughout the curriculum. Social Development, including political and current affairs awareness

At Abberley Parochial V.C. Primary School, developing pupils’ social skills and global awareness is a key priority. We encourage meaningful discussions on current affairs, provide leadership opportunities through the school council, and promote participation in community events, fostering an understanding of democracy and responsible citizenship.

Physical Development

Cultural Development
