Remembrance Service

Our hall grew lots of poppies overnight to help us remember all the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life.

Our Remembrance Service

The Year 6 pupils presented a thoughtful presentation sharing their thoughts on the meaning of remembrance, the symbol of the poppy, stories of courage, the power of unity and performed the poem Flanders Field. Parade Marshall Moore talked to us about The British Legion and shared the differences between a flag and a standard. He showed us his dad's medals from WW11 and demonstrated his drill commands, which were quite loud! We concluded our service with prayers from Rev David followed by a two-minute silence. Our School Council Chair and Vice chair then read Kohima's epitaph.
