This week, we celebrated the remarkable qualities of our pupils. Certificates were awarded for perseverance, creativity, justice and compassion. These values and learning attributes are the cornerstone of our school community and I'm immensely proud of our children for embodying them. Their dedication to personal growth and kindness towards others is truly inspiring.

Headteacher Awards were presented to two of our exceptional pupils, Bodhi and Daisy.

  • Nativity 12th December

    Published 13/12/24

Here are just a couple of pictures to share with you from our EYFS and KS1 Nativity yesterday, 'The INN-Spectors'. Every pupil shone brightly, displaying remarkable confidence as they spoke and sang before a packed audience. Their performance was truly enchanting, a testament to the hard work of both staff and pupils. Well done to everyone involved for creating such a special memory and sharing with us the story of the first Christmas.

A huge thank you to the Friends for their provision of four new wireless microphones and supplying refreshments before and after the show. It ensured crystal-clear communication during our performance, allowing every word to be heard and I know the teas and coffees were greatly appreciated.

  • Remembrance Service

    Published 15/11/24

On Monday, our school came together for a poignant Remembrance Service, transforming our hall into a sea of beautiful red poppies. It was a moment of reflection and unity, led by Rev'd David, with invaluable contributions from our CREW and staff members.

Mrs Lightfoot shared her recent experience at the 'Standing with Giants' display, part of the D-Day 80 memorial exhibition, bringing history to life for our pupils. Miss Harvey's bible reading, coupled with Miss Rixon and Miss Hughes' thoughtful prayers, added depth to our service.

We were particularly proud of Bluebell and Jenson, who bravely read extracts from Laurence Binyon's 'For the Fallen'. Their words echoed the sentiment of the day, reminding us all of the sacrifices made by so many.

The service culminated in the haunting notes of the Last Post, followed by two minutes of silent reflection. This pause allowed us all to contemplate the significance of Remembrance Day and its enduring importance in our lives.

It was heartening to see our school community come together in such a meaningful way, demonstrating our commitment to remembering and honouring those who have served.
