  • CREW Collective Worship about our value of JUSTICE

    Published 23/01/24

The CREW acted out the Parable of the Unforgiving Servant today to teach us about our value of justice. We all decided that we didn't think Jesus expected Peter to be a good mathematician and work out exactly the total of 70 x 7 = but instead he was trying to tell us that there is no limit on the number of times we should forgive someone.

We should treat people as we wish to be treated. We all make mistakes and we would all like to be treated fairly and with justice.

Thank you to Rev. David for joining us in our worship today.

Today Lewys, Issac and Milly were given headteacher awards for showing compassion. Science in Y3/4 was a little different this week. Savannah and Sarah came in to talk to us about how wheat is turned into flour and how we use that for food. Savannah showed the children some photos and videos about how wheat is grown and explained the process from planting to harvesting. We then planted some grain, and hopefully we should see some growth before we break up for Christmas. Sarah brought in her tabletop mill and the children saw how the grain was turned into flour. The children used the milled flour to make cookie dough which they got to take home to bake. She also brought in a loaf of bread made with the same flour which we all got to taste and agreed was delicious! We all had a fantastic afternoon and enjoyed seeing a different type of food chain in action! Thank you so much to Savannah and Sarah for coming in.
