Orchard Planting
Published 31/01/25Today, our Year 3 and 4 pupils embarked on an exciting adventure in tree planting! They braved the muddy fields, wheelbarrowing wood chippings down a steep hill, and digging trenches to plant pear and apple trees. It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they stamped down compost and carefully placed chippings to create mulch.
This hands-on experience has equipped our pupils with valuable skills. They're now eagerly anticipating watching these fruit trees grow, learning about how they'll attract wildlife, and of course, looking forward to enjoying the delicious fruits in the future.
What a marvellous way to connect with nature and learn about the environment!
