Kestrels were investigating turning a solid into a liquid as part of their 'Changing State' topic today. In groups, the children were given chocolate and had to find out which was the quickest way of melting it. They also discovered that if they left their melted chocolate, it turned back into a solid! This investigation created lots of scientific discussion where the children were able to link it back to some of their prior learning.
