Wishing you a Happy Christmas and Peaceful New Year

What a Wonderful Way to End the Term

As we reach the end of another busy and brilliant term, our school has been filled with joy, laughter and festive cheer. The final week has been especially memorable, beginning with our pantomime visit on Tuesday, which brought smiles and excitement to everyone.

On Wednesday, our beautiful carol service truly showcased our KS2 pupils at their very best with every child speaking so eloquently and singing so beautifully, making it a moment to be proud of.

Thursday was full of Christmas magic with a special visit from Father Christmas, followed by a delicious Christmas lunch and ending the day with our Key Stage quizzes. Well done to Ash for winning Key Stage 2 and Oak for winning Key Stage 1 Quizzes. Fantastic teamwork!

Today we rounded off the term with our end-of-term assembly, where we announced all the winners from the Christmas Fayre and celebrated our Pupils of the Term and Headteacher awards.

Dylan won the 'Top Banana Trophy' for the Bake-off competition with his reindeer cupcakes. Ella guessed the name of the elf correctly. The Hickmans matched the number of presents in the stocking, so took home a very heavy stocking full of presents.

We also celebrated the winners of the House Nativity competition. See news article below for more details.

Free KS2 learning support

We’re pleased to let you know that Abberley Parochial VC Primary School has partnered with Atom Learning, the leading Key Stage 2 learning and 11+ preparation website, to provide free KS2 learning to primary school children who are eligible for Pupil Premium. Eligible students will receive access to Atom Home for free (normally £575.90 a year).

Atom Learning is a viable, more child-centric alternative to private tuition that we believe is a non-stressful and enjoyable way of making progress at KS2 and, when relevant, preparing for exams. There is a 5-day free trial of Atom available for non-PP families.

The application link can be found on our school website.

What is Atom Home Learning?

Atom Home is an online learning and exam preparation platform for ages 7-11.

Covering English, maths, science, verbal reasoning and non-verbal reasoning, students can explore learning resources, mock tests, video tutorials and exam preparation materials.

Do you know someone who is eligible?

If you know someone whose child is in need of extra Key Stage 2 learning support (they do not need to be attending Abberley Parochial), please share this link with them:

https://atomlearning.com/pupil-premium/primary-schools

After completing the form on this page, their primary school will receive a notification to verify their pupil premium eligibility. Once confirmed by their school, their Atom Home account will be created.

If you would like to find out more, please email pupilpremium@atomlearning.com.

Nativity competition
There were some fantastic entries to our Nativity competition. The children had been asked to recreate the Nativity story, and we were very impressed by their imaginative ideas. We had 3D stable scenes, artwork, Lego models, poems, stories and even a gingerbread Nativity! The judges had a very diffi...
