Dear Parents and friends of the school,

Thank you for the fantastic support from staff, friends and parents throughout this festive period. The children have enjoyed a wonderful range of activities in the lead up to Christmas.

In recent weeks, the children have been to see Cinderella at The Swan Theatre in Worcester, our Key Stage 2 children shared a powerful message relating to all that they are grateful for at Christmastime in our two community carol services held at St. Mary's Church, our Christmas themed after school craft clubs have seen children being creative, many contributed towards our entry into, and enjoyed visiting, the Stanford Church Christmas tree festival, our Christmas fair brought the community together with food crafts and fun. Our visit from Father Christmas saw the children engaging and showing gratitude, Christmas dinner today gave the opportunity for chatting together with their friends, and it has been wonderful to hear the children talk fondly of the memories they have made over the last few weeks.

Yesterday, our Key Stage 1 children performed an incredible nativity. We were missing some children and hope that they feel better soon, but the dancing was graceful, the singing passionate and each child contributed towards this enjoyable event by a smile or a song. It was a great finale to a positive term in school. This afternoon, they performed this again to the rest of the school, and it brought further joy to hear the Key Stage 2 children talk with excitement about the opportunity to join in with this celebration for the younger children.

Amidst all of these events, our teachers have been working hard to continue to plan and teach lessons to support the children in developing their knowledge and understanding and complete the sequences of learning that will enable them to move onto the next step in our curriculum in the spring term. I am grateful for this hard work. There have been lots of bugs going around and this has caused some disruption in pupils learning, but we have seen great resilience as the children have continued to focus, catch up and enjoy learning right up to the end of term.

We are grateful for all the support from staff and parents which has enabled us to make all of these events successful and support children in their learning this term.

Wishing you all a Christmas full of peace, joy and fun together. We look forward to welcoming you back to school on Wednesday 4th January.

Yours sincerely,

Joel Turvey

Our final assembly of the term today was a wonderful celebration of all the progress the children have made in their school swimming. At the end of the term we also select a pupil of the term from each year group who has exemplified our school's values and attributes particularly well.
