Tuesday 28th April

Maths:

The winner of the Battle of the Bands was …Kingfishers 2!

I will play five games for the highest scoring children in Kingfishers 2- Will (wow, by the way!), Tommy and Mia W.

Special mention for Cecily, who was the highest scoring child in Kingfishers 1

Miss Hughes’ group – L.O. To reason with fractions of amounts

Today you are going to use your knowledge of finding non unit fractions of amounts and apply it to solving reasoning and problem solving questions. Remember to explain your reasoning carefully and to always double check your answers! I have put the link for yesterday’s video below so you can watch this again to help you if you need it.

I have attached Bronze, Silver and Gold activities for you to try. Remember, you don’t need to do all of the sheets. Do the one you are most confident with and then challenge yourself to try the next level.

English: LO: To create a 'Wanted Poster' for one of Count Olaf's henchmen.

I hope you enjoyed Chapter 6 and 7. I am enjoying reading this book and I for one hope that Lemony Snicket is joking about the story 'not having a happy ending'!

Today you don't need to listen to any more of the story- just download the work booklet from the bottom of this page and all the information you need is there!

Music/Science: LO: To understand how sound is made

Take a look at Myleene Klass' next video- it's all about how sound is made. Have a go at making the 'glass harp'- but be careful with your parents' wine glasses- these are the most important glasses in the house! ;-) Enjoy!
