Tuesday 31st March

Maths:

The winner of the TTRS Battle of the Bands was…Kingfishers 1!

Well done to everyone who took part, over 1800 questions were answered correctly which is fantastic. So, who are the lucky children who I am going to play three 3 minute games for?

Olivia P, Betty and Isabelle H. Well done!

I tried my very best and managed to earn you all over 4150 coins each. My brain and fingers were aching afterwards!

If you have earned an MVP certificate, I have shared these with you on J2e.

Miss Hughes’ group – L.O. To reason and problem solve with tenths

You are continuing learning about tenths today, but you are going to try and use your learning from yesterday to answer reasoning and problem solving questions. These type of questions require you to think your answers through carefully. It can be really helpful to talk these through with an adult/brother/sister etc. as this makes it clear in your mind what you are trying to say. You can watch yesterday’s video again to remind you of the processes. Remember, it was Week 1 Lesson 3

I have attached Bronze, Silver and Gold activities for today. Please remember, you don’t have to do all levels! Pick the one you feel most confident with and, if you complete this, maybe challenge yourself with the next level up.

Mrs. Gregory & Mrs. Postlethwaite’s group – L.O. To reason and problem solve using place value knowledge

Today you are going to use your learning from yesterday (how to show tenths using a place value grid) and apply this to reasoning and problem solving. Hopefully you are now more confident with where tenths are placed on a place value grid and can use your knowledge with today’s questions. You can watch the lesson video again if you need to. If possible, discuss your answers with an adult/brother/sister etc. and see if they agree with your thinking. Remember, it was Week 1 Lesson 3.

I have attached Bronze, Silver and Gold activities for today (and double checked that they are the correct ones this time!) Please remember, you don’t have to do all levels! Pick the one you feel most confident with and, if you complete this, maybe challenge yourself with the next level up.

English- LO: To develop comprehension techniques.

The second task in your recipe workbook is to use the bbc website to find a recipe and look through it at all the different parts, answering the questions as you go. You need to remind yourself what a imperative verb is and keep your eye out for them. Just complete one of the activities, either Bronze, Silver or Gold. When you have finished, have a look around the BBC Food website for some other recipe ideas.

PE: LO: To enjoy some dance with Oti Mabuse

Lots of you are fans of Strictly so should enjoy this very much!
